Question about flashing kits

Since the recent wave ban, I am currently lucky not to be banned, however, I am considering buying a flashing kit to assist in powering my drive to prevent a suppose source of bans.

I am wondering though:
1) is ck3.co.uk a decent site? I am looking here because they accept paypal and how much is uk postage
2) What is the difference between the pro and lite ck3?
3) What is a reasonable price for each item? is the extra money worth it? I am sorry for the really noobish questions but I am just trying to get the most value for money. I dont intend on become a professional modder but I may do the occasional system such as my own or my bros.
ck3 lite= £15 http://www.ck3.co.uk/xecuter-ck3-lite.html
ck3 lite w/ spear= £22.95 http://www.ck3.co.uk/xecuter-ck3-lit...on-bundle.html
ck3 pro= £22.95 http://www.ck3.co.uk/xecuter-ck3-pro.html
ck3 pro w/spear= £31.95 http://www.ck3.co.uk/xecuter-ck3-pro...on-bundle.html
ck3 pro w/ spear, unlock kit and XT adapter= £37.95 http://www.ck3.co.uk/xecuter-ck3-sup...dle-offer.html
unknown kit w/ probe= http://tinyurl.com/ydm8wow
unlock kit £4.95 http://www.ck3.co.uk/xecuter-xbox-36...ck-kit-v2.html
spear= £9.99 http://www.ck3.co.uk/xecuter-ck3-pro...der-addon.html

Hi Matey

I bought a ck3 pro from ck3.co.uk and have had no problems with it
I got it not that long after they were released

I made my own probe from an old multi-meter I had laying around
Not hard to do

I know you can make your own probes using an rs232 adapter, wire and some resistors but I prefer to do it properly if I am going to do it.

you would actualy be doing the job better if you used your own kit, troubkle comes from how you power the drive though,i got 2 spare units so i can power drives usiong one of them,i got my homemade kit so i can use that when i want to,that cuts out the connectivity kit full stop,so it therefore cuts down the risk of faulty kit frying the drive.

i got a ck3pro with spear though,so if i was going to recommend a kit i would say get the ck3 pro with spear,it supports both rs232 and usb extraction of the key so if one dont work the other should.
now hacking xbox360 console's in the bradford region and uk.only need the drive sending, costs £20.00 including redelivery.

liteon 74850 flashing (drive only) for £20.00 including drive redelivery.£7.00 extra for console unit.

LiteOn 83850c flashing £20.00 including postage.

hitachi key recovery shorted/bad flash hitachi pcb's.£20.00.

Here you go

Not mine but you get the idea

Buy yourself the CK3 Pro but make yourself a probe like in the link above

Don't waste £10+ on one when all you need is a piece of wire and something with a pointy end

Just wondering, is the USB extraction the only difference? Because I only have an RS232 to usb adapter on my system for my dads work. If e.g. its got better protection (e.g. prevent surges) then fine.

@Biteable

How did you make your custom probe? I am considering buying the Ck3 lite due to cost (£16.72 inc postage) and since I may only ever flash 1 or 2 liteons I may just make my own probe.

I had an old multimeter laying around and used the probe from that.
Just cut and spliced it into wire number 11 on the connector block
If you look at the picture above you can clearly see the correct wire to splice into

Ok thanks, Ck3 lites are OK quality wise right? As I said this is mainly to power my drive and if I do the odd liteon flashing, the probe hooked up to it should be adequate...right?

you mean the xt adaptor?xsata is an hdd thingy!

if you mean the xt adaptor all it does is cut out opening the side of the pc to connect the sata cable to the port inside by providing ytou with an handy one on the rear (cos its like a pci card) and you connect a molex connector so you can do the same with the p[ower.

i dont use personaly and if you have to pay i would say forget that and just get what you need, its just a fancy nothing which you already have on your pc anyways.

no, I meant the HDD adapter which allows you to plug it into the PC. All the CK3 pros I see seem to come with a free HDD adapter.
