Not only did he probably make the kids entire month (year?) but he would have left feeling good himself.

Christmas is coming up, if you have a console that you don't need/want/use give it to someone who would appreciate it, not some moody teenager either, give it to a kid
I hate kids.
Couple month ago, I got in car accident.
It wasn't my fault. White car was next to my car. Kid were riding on the white car.
Kid opened his white car door which car was next to me and kid were strong enough to give my shiny car nice little dent.
Now, his mom came out from white car, she was the driver.
She kept saying, "why did you drive into my car's door?!".
Kid didn't say anything.
Now I hate kids.

... Meh... accidents happen, kids are stupid... and they do damaging things.

Even so, i can remember something i did as a child... we where all in school, at the top of the field messing around, for some reason it was decided that it would be a great idea to throw stones from the field and try to hit a bollard thing in the middle of the road, we where throwing stones that where quite big... long story short one hit a car windscreen, really messed the guys car up because he was doing about 70MPH, and could have killed him, police where called, and myself and a few other guys where excluded from school for a week, we never did know which of us had lobbed the stone that hit his car.

Just another example of kids doing dumb things because they seem like a good idea at the time no matter how irrational they may seem to an adult, i remember trying to rationalise with the head teacher (USA: Principal) as to why we where standing on a hill lobbing rocks into a road... i couldn't.

Knowing what idiocy goes on in the minds of the young allows me as a father to mellow slightly when my kids do something stupid, they aren't old enough to break windows yet, but they will be, and it will happen one day, i won't hate them for it.

Have you thought about the possibility that the kid didn't say anything because he was scared shitless at the drama and shouting unfolding around him and was in-capable of processing what was happening? i doubt he opened his car door to hit you, kids don't go "I know, I'm in my parent's car, what would be fun is if i open the car door and smash it against another moving vehicle for shits'n'giggles" it was more likely "Hmm, will this door will open if we're moving?" - He wouldn't have expected it to cause a car accident and then go all turbo around him.

If this kind of thing happened to me, regardless of blame or fault (That's what car insurance is for) and you had scared my kid sufficiently to make him stand there in a silent stupor i would have torn your head off, and thrown you into the motor way - Then you could add me to your hate list too

they have upgraded it from puppetry (What i remember from my childhood) to CGI, and Sam is WAY more hardcore than he used to be, look on the above video at 0:24 (Which is a re-write of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HDi04cEnGE at 0:29), kicking down doors and stuff, and look at the expression on his face when he does it, the guy is a hero! lol

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZW0ggNVhaE0 - this is what i remember from my childhood... a much tamer (boring) version.
Sigh they ruin everything these days, can understand wallace and gromit after the fire but there's no excuse for that, Still im sure the kids enjoy his giant hose so much more now

Has your eldest made you feel old by watching something black and white and asking why there's no colour on screen yet?

Not really, to be honest I don't really watch channels that have black and white shows, and I've only sat down and purposely watched a handful of black and white movies myself, the only other time i encounter black and white footage is arty films (I've watched maybe 2(?)) and archive footage from the internet when I'm researching something, and maybe if I'm watching a documentary they will include clips from war eras.

I doubt my son will encounter true black and white footage for a long time.

I also do have 2 PSPs.

One for my own development/testing, running back-dated firmwares and the other for my personal use.

Unfortunately, I was nice to them, shame on me, I had to be more angry.
They told police, that door was open, and I ran into the door.
Kids went to the game store right away without saying anything.

Can't really blame kids for this sort of thing. It's the dumbass parent's fault for not putting the childlock on the car door.
