Resistance 2 is currently holding an impressive metacritic score of 91 based on 5 reviews. Review scores: IGN - 95, NZGamer - 92, Gameplayer - 90, Playstation Official Magazine UK - 90, 1UP - 83.

Yeah as the non fanatical PS3 users have been saying (such as myself) after playing the beta... its decent, but thats it. Just like your opinion of GOW2. However, you can bet that GOW2 will have a higher Metacritic score than R2 and it'll deserve it

So... anyone wonders how a B+ from 1Up translates to 83? I'm pretty good at math... and 83/100 sounds like a solid B-.

I think it's worked on the basis that F=0 (so ignore that initially) and then you have a 12 point scale from D- to A+

100/12 = 8.33, multiply that by the position in the list that B+ is (including F as Zero) which = 10.

Therefore, you have 83%.

5.2.....looks like some 360 owners need to get their consoles back to keep them busy.

85 avg for Resistance and 83 avg for R2???? lol...wow...R2 makes Resistance and the Halos, look like 2/10 games now... This game deserves no less than 90.

Hm, that makes sense... but it's impractical also. I guess that's why most reviewers use numbers as opposed to letters.

B+ does not equal 83, Metacritic is just stupid.


C+ = 55
B- = 67
B = 75
B+ = 83
A- = 91
A = 100
A+ = 100

Shows you how stupid the guys over there really are. Just take a look, over at Metacritic A = A+. It has been this way for the longest time. Gamerankings is the only ones who get it right.

C+ = 70
B- = 75
B = 80
B+ = 85
A- = 90
A = 95
A+ = 100

I forgot this game was coming out, So many games to buy in the next few weeks . Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, Gears Of War 2, Call of Duty 5. I've only just got round to starting crysis warhead, I'm set for the rest of this year now

cus metacritic is such a reliable way of knowing if a game is good or not...

eh you don't always win, judging from your posts, we can sorta define your character and base your lifestyle (probably the slightly chunky kid that's still in school that always gets picked on and sits alone at the lunch table, wears slightly tight corduroy pants and a too tight striped shirt that's tucked in, with a black belt and slightly undersized dirty, stained tennis shoes with no socks), and you use the internet forums to try to come across as some cool guy that wants everyone to think he's so smart and funny that hides behind an anonymous persona..so in reality you have really lost.....big time

WORST GAME EVER!!! Boring, lack of good weapons, enemies never die, the railgun is junk. 3000 rounds to kill a smaller enemy. GARBAGE. I got the beta and it sucks more than barrack obama!
