View Full Version : MS: Don't email Bill Gates with your 360 problems
Microsoft have said that contacting Bill Gates or other Microsoft executives with your customer services issues is not a good idea. They recommend you stick to the Xbox customer service team. The statement comes after someone who contacted the consumerist claimed that emailing Bill Gates about his faulty 360 led to a speedy replacement.
Bill Gates or Microsoft executives are not an appropriate escalation point for customer service issues. Customers experiencing issues with their Xbox 360 console should contact Xbox Customer Service. Our customer service team is well equipped to ensure that the repair process goes smoothly.
That said, Microsoft stands behind its products and takes responsibility to ensure that every Xbox 360 console owner continues to have a fantastic gaming experience. We are continually improving the design and performance of the Xbox 360 consoles to decrease the likelihood that a customer will experience the three flashing red lights. In the event they do, they are covered for three years under our extended warranty.

"Don't send e-mails to Bill Gates..."
Because he already knows how shitty his console is, I bet he's probably got millions of e-mails in his 'Defexbox' folder.

even after Bill Gates already quit himself form microsoft ...
anyway wait for console to be fixed for a month. is better than buy a console and don't get any game (include some already used for promoted) for a year.

I don't see what the problem is with the call center. I shipped mine off and got it back within a week. I didn't even think ground shipping went that fast so it would be crazy to ask them to do it any faster.

Well consider yourself one of the lucky ones, but don't think everyone else has been so lucky. I feel sorry for Billy boy; he should just filter out any emails that contain the words "RROD", "failure", etc. I gotta wonder how many people will buy another MS console after this, Sure there's many who defend the 360 now, but sometimes I think they just feel obliged to do so since they own it already.

The amount of E-Mails he got from faulty Xbox360 customers probly crashed his outlook Express.
I say keep E-Mailing him for allowing faulty crap.

No really you should e-mail Bill Gates, and those high up in the Xbox Office.
My 360 died again, twice in one month and I had seen the article here claiming how someone had received a new console by e-mailing BG.
I followed suit with a nice long story, and I am now being shipped a brand new 360 to replace mine (which I had to send out), a free wireless controller, a free game (I chose Burnout Paradise), AND 3 free months of Xbox Live.
So I advise you e-mail Bill Gates and whoever else you can!!

this was obviously going to happen, one or two e-mails then fair enough, but if they get them on a regular basis they are likley to go straight to customer support as they should have done, or into the junk mail folder.

the problem is that the xbox 360 shouldent have had such a high failur rate
if this system was tested properly and not rushed out just to get a head start on sony things might have been different.
i have had 3 cores fail on me with in 2 months, and to top it off 3 Elites fail that belong to my brother. so thats not good nws MS
so Bill I wont be contacting you or that poor excuse for a customer support center in india. we are now happy PS3 users.
Xbox360 "jump in" and we will screw you around with hardware that fails and customer service that takes for ever to return hadware to you thats often in worse condition than the system you sent in.
