Major Nelson has revealed that the demo of Conflict: Denied Ops (single player and co-op) will not be available on Xbox Live on Germany. No specific reason was given, but one can only take a good guess that the game is too 'violent' for Germany.

Come on, there were other violent demos and I don't remember any news about them not being released.

Wait, I have a german account. Anyone know how to change that?

I guess they want to get away from that. I can understand that. But they tend to overdoing it.

So, the war in Afghanistan which the United States started back then wasn't violent? And the German soldiers helping the people there and getting killed just because they're helping rebuild a country the United States destroyed IS violent? I would be even more ashamed that George Bush jr. got elected a second time which is absolutely silly in matters of what he's done - he ruined the whole country and is responsible for waaay too many dead soldiers fighting the war he started. I can go on with a lot of other examples but that's not the point. You should come down from your patriotism trip and think about what's going on RIGHT NOW in the world. Germany surely is not proud of the past and what happened back then, but the US shouldn't be too hypocritical.

Produce a demo with a lot of nudity and sexual content and release the game for the X360. I bet 50 bucks that this demo wouldn't be available in the US, but would be released in Germany without a question. I'd rather play a game with some nudity, the most natural and normal thing in the world, than a game with not necessary and exaggerated violence.
