View Full Version : Dragonball actress gets some shooting practice with 360
Emmy Rossum, who is playing Bulma in the upcoming Dragonball movie, has been blogging about the experience. She says she was never much of a gamer but got an Xbox to occupy some downtime in her trailer. She hopes the shooting games might help her hand/eye coordination for the gun sequences in the film. Shes been playing 'Stranglehold' which her co-star Chow Yun Fat (who plays Roshi in Dragonball) stars in.

“We are back in Durango shooting today. I got an xbox to occupy some downtime in the trailer. I've never been much of a video gamer, but I like the adventure games and the shooting games might help my hand/eye coordination for the gun sequences in the film. I picked up a few games not really knowing what I was buying and when I started playing one I realized I had picked up ‘Stranglehold’ starring Chow Yun Fat! Based on the John Woo movie ‘Hard Boiled,’ the graphics are incredible, he jumps, flies and shoots in slow-mo, very John Woo, very cool. I feel a little shy to tell him I'm playing him on a video game, to tell him how cool it is!
Speaking of hand/eye coordination I recently had the opportunity to go to a shooting range with some marines who instructed me and let me practice shooting different kinds of guns, pistols, handguns, shotguns (man those slugs kick back!).
Well, back to set, Justin Chatwin is looking over my should as I type and he says ‘Hi!’”

dragon ball z wasn't the best show but for little kids its a great show but if they try to make a live action movie out of it, they just might kill off the show completely, i mean its so old already, making a shitty live action movie will be like an old man having a heart attack and dying

i believe they need to use asians!!! stay true to the anime!!! hahaha...
verse
any anime to live-action film i've seen is crap compared to the original animes they come from. example:
death note - they skewered the plotline into a completely different set of events, thus screwing up any first time viewer's perception of what really happened.
crying freeman - good film to watch but too inaccurate to get any sense of the original storyline from. having seen both the anime series and the first film, i say the anime is miles better.
as for the DBZ story, i couldn't give two shits about DBZ.

Is Chow Yun Fat in debt to the yakuza or something? What else could explain why he would even do something like this. I think I would rather have my eyes gouged out with a pair of fondue forks than sit through a dragonball movie, putting up with it in anime format for a half an hour to entertain my son is bad enough.

dont hold your breath they said dragonball so expect to see a Mortal Kombat-esque realization of the first series, none of the badass super saiyain special effects jaw dropping action you see in the Z series. I would take a fake underrealistic dbz movie with crazy special effects and transformations into super forms over a toned down fist fight version of the first db any day.

um thats not her "in movie" look, if u seriously want a bullma lookalike i suggest u start cloning experiments since i doubt youll find a human with eyes THAT BIG. all she needs is blue hair or atleast blue highlights and she can do bulma.

well those arent nearly as bad as the Cutey Honey live action, talk about totally ruining the anime storyline. the only live action show/movies i really liked was Sailor Moon, looked corny but it was a huge story improvement enough to handle all the cuteness of the cgi hearts lol.
