As regular readers of Joystiq, we noticed they had an article featuring some website which offers replacement PSP LCD's for a 'bargain' $73! This is definately not a bargain, we have seen the original PSP TFT LCD for only $45 at Divineo. Yes, that's at least 25 dollars cheaper then others.

Buy PSP TFT LCD: $45.00 (World Wide Shipping)

The article at Joystiq says that a quick google search will reveal higher prices than the featured $73 from PSPcrazy.

Now does anyone know if the TFT LCD (for $45.00) replacement is grantee not to have dead pixels? Also does anyone know if it is of the same quality... i.e. contrast ratio, refresh rate?

I would like to know the same. Has anyone bought one and is it just as good as the original? I have the very last 1.50 psp that any store had in my area and it has two dead pixels, one white and one black, so i almost always see at least one dead pixel and i'm really considering taking it back to get a perfect one. But if these things have no dead pixels i would rather just buy one of these. But only if they are of the same or better quality.

one white and one black

yo why you gotta be racist?

hey at least you got the last 1.5 you can always get another screen for it. i was surprised at the price. $45 is a decent deal. i'd try and ignore the couple dead ones and enjoy homebrew and other fun stuff for now, theres people out there with several dead pixels so in a way you're lucky. i've got 2 stuck, some angles i can't see em, others i can. dead pixels are of course more annoying and stand out more but i still say it's not worth giving up the exploit or $45. well, maybe $45 because you could turn around and sell the original on e-bay (if sony lets you:D)

Lol, sorry if i offened some pixels out there. :p Yeah, i know that i'm lucky with my psp, thats why i havent taken it back. I love playing super mario world on this sucker. Thats why i'm just going to hold on to it untill something comes along like i said in my previous post.
