i just got my leds and was about to do the controller port led mod using brakkens guide. but noticed the 2 pins u bend and cut off are actually grounds. but http://www.int03.co.uk/crema/hardware/gamecube/gc-control.htm says they are the same ground as pin 3 so is there anything that can go wrong with this?

new question at the next post

if i remove those clips for the mod, will the controller still stay in he port? or will it be loose and fall ouj with slight pulls?

They stay in just as normal. Ive done it on mine.

I would recommend this guide...

http://modthatcube.pxn-os.com/main.htm

Its in the Custom Mods>Cosmetics>LED Controller Port secton.

They are just like strips, not T shape so if you get a really small screwdriver underneath and prize them up it shouldnt be a problem. You do have to force them from under the black plastic though if I remember rightly. Once they are up, just chop them off.

actually mine are shaped like a T at the end. also my model number is dol-frnt-10 so it might be that
i got them up with a thin strip of metal annd left em up to support the LEDs with the glue.
in the end its working perfectly right now, my only grip is that i had to shave down the leads of the leds to like 1mm becuase they were catching on the memory card slot covers.
ill start a new thread with pics soon.

Ive removed the memory card slot covers as I think they are **** anyway. I did this before I even thought about putting in the controller LED's as I wanted to try and light the memory slot up too.
