i have a d2b wii for definate. says on chip inside with 3 legs cut. i have a wiikey. went to install it and the soldering points on the board are slightly different. check pic bit grainy but you can see..

please help

What's so though ? The missing pad ? Just solder that one directly to the chip (5th leg if i'm not mistaken)

the 5th pin goes to the bottom left point of the square which is not used on wiikey. would you advise this as the point that needs using

Count from the right (in the picture). 5th pin. You'll see there is no trace coming from that pinlocation (that used to go to where the pad is missing).

What you need to do is solder to that pin on the D2B chip directly.
