Mp3 playback quiet? any way to increase it

Hi just recently been listening to a few mp3's on my psp and find them quiet even with louder headphones?.Is there a homebrew player out there to give em a bit more volume?

Same here, I'm very unhappy with mp3 playback on my psp. I didn't spend the amount I did on my headphones just so that I could listen to them at half volume.

Get an audio program, i use cool edit, and just amplify the volume of the mp3.

Is there any homebrew mp3 players that use a better codec or whatever (like the apple ipod uses) to give better quality playback of mp3s without having to edit them and stuff?

I don't know about you guys but I'm quite satisfied with the volume of audio playback (unless it's a movie...). I have a sennheiser mx500 ($30) and at full volume, the damn thing's pretty loud. Perhaps you don't need better codecs/players, you just need better mp3s.

You can't beat the official Japanese earphones, I'm on my second pair and I think they're very loud(the originals stolen - shows how good they are :P)

Have tried a few different types of headphones , none seem to increase the really low max volume????

I connect mine to the nearest tv via phono cable jack cause the PSP volume is so low sometimes its annoying, especially when watching UMD's.

the louder the headphones sound on your psp the cheaper the headphone is...

most expensive headphones have a higher impendence and resistence so u need something with powerful output to push it

i have a pair of seinheisser mx500 as well and i find them too quiet

anyways if you want to listen to music louder...go get yourself a headphone amp
the cheap ones are good enough and they can blow your eardrums EASILY
