I was just wondering how it actually works does anybody know?
as i was just wondering if someone could create an offline version.
Also a few questions about it.
1 - are the saves encrypted
2 - does the resigner change the original deviceid and profileid to your own personal ones
3 - does it do these changes in hex
thanks for reading

It is possible to create a resigner for personal use but you have to have certain "update keys" from the lastest version of XBL, the only person that I know that has it created the resigner. The reason they made it online only is because of the havoc that could ensue if there was a offline version.
1) I would think they are encrypted, or else anyone would be able to use them, and Microsoft doesn't like that ;)
2) I think that is what it does, because Microsoft is able to blacklist the creators/uploaders of the saves. That makes it so that Xbox360 cannot upload any more saves. (nothing to do with your live status, for example you cant get banned from XBL for doing it, least not yet).
3) Not sure, if there is an old version of the resigner that you could reverse engineer then that is your best bet of finding out.

There was only 1 version, web based script. So no one can look into it. Theres an offline one too, but that will never come out to the masses for obvious reasons, like marketplace piracy and live cheating
