This problem has gotten worse and worse over the last week or so. The PSP will only let me copy a few files at a time through the usb port, then the copy dies and I cannot read or write from the PSP until I quit USB Mode and restart it. I can maybe get 10 or 20MB over at a time. Now, sometimes it doesn't even get any, copying makes the window disappear totally.

Here's what I've determined:

- It's not the memory card, since I've tried both 32mb and 1gb.
- It's not the computer I'm using, I've tried on two WinXP machines.

What could it be? I'm thinking the cable or the PSP itself. Anyone else ever had this problem, or am I now the only one with a $300 paperweight?

Solved. Downgrade to USB 1.1. USB 2.0 exhibits problems mentioned above but I'm patient, so I don't care.

I've had the same problem but it was solve by using another USB port.
I think you should try with another cable.

I had this same problem, drove me nuts. Solved by using a different cord. I had this cheap a$$ pelican cord , the one that has two seperate hookups: one usb, and one power. You wouldn't happen to be using that one?
