Is anybody still experiencing difficulties updating to 1.9g? cause i sure as hell haven't been able to and i'm wasting too much money on media for this. My cousin recently told me that on some chinese site they had a group working to update Wii key's that wouldn't update, the chips that get the "Check Connections" error. supposedly it's for all the fake wiikeys' out there, but from my understanding some genuine wiikey's get them too. So has anyone else heard anything about this? or do i have to remod my wii with something new? if so anybody know any modders in NYC? cause i don't wanna fk up my wii with a bad uninstallation of a bad chip

i've tried padding and GCOS, and i am sure it's a Genuine, and i know others who have Genuine's on other forums who also get the same problem, something about the early batches of Wii key, i got mine round early may. so i don't know when mine falls into place.

Most of the wiikeys that cannot update are CLONE's. I have one myself. Do you think that wiikey.cn, which is not working right now, would try to help a minority when a majority of people have working chips?
The only thing that you can do is make an atmega8 programmer and use that to program the wiikey. Its pretty simple and inexpensive if you have some amount of soldering skills. Use westek's autoprogrammer for 1.9g. PM if you need help or else check out this thread. http://psx-scene.com/forums/wiikey/60804-wiikey-1-9g-dumped-hex-atmega8-chips.html
