View Full Version : Metal Gear Acid 2 to use 3D PSP peripheral
Gamespot report that according to the latest issue of Famitsu, Konami's Metal Gear Acid 2 for the PSP will play with the use of a special peripheral called the "Solid Eye." By attaching the peripheral--which looks like a set of binoculars that matches the PSP's body color--gamers will be able to see portions of Metal Gear Acid 2 in 3D. This innovative accessory will be bundled with MGA2.

sounds like they need to ditch the acid series and make a real mgs game that is actually fun to play. instead of relying on corny peripherals.

Have you played the Ac!d game? I was skeptical at first too, but now I keep playing it.
You should try it...

Yes, it's a very addictive game.
And it would be very fun to play it in 3d
It was a good idea but if the 3d glasses look like this, I don't think I will buy them: (Does anyone remember the success of Nintendo Virtual Boy :D )

"gamers will be able to see portions of Metal Gear Acid 2 in 3D" portions? Well I dont very well want to hold my PSP up to my face If im not getting 3D. I wonder how quickly/easily it attaches. Unfortunatly the top of the Solid Eye looks completly flat, and almost uncomfortable. Its hard to say how close your eyes may sit away from those holes and it looks like the bridge of your nose will have to rest on a plastic corner.
I'm curious to see if any other developers will take advantage of the solid eye technology. However, I truly hope it doesnt catch on, it'll make us all look like goofs.
