View Full Version : MS kicks off beta scheme to donate MS points as a gift

In similar fashion to Nintendo, Microsoft has kicked off a beta version of a scheme which will allow any Xbox Live or MS platform user to donate MS points to a friend as a gift. Right now, the scheme is limited but the aim is to make it able to give points to friends via using just their gamertag.

Whine, whine, whine. This is the same story as the Video marketplace features for the EU region. There are so many laws and loop holes that MS has to go through to license all that for EU, its not freaking instant.

wii has something like this, you can send VC games to friends for gifts.

Both very cool ideas and nice features to have. Happy holidays!

Eww, lame move from Microsoft/Xbox to copy features found brought by their competitor(aka Nintendo/Wii) :rolleyes:

What next ? Sony will also copy this feature and offer a way to gift Playstation Store $$$

actually psn is nothing but one big wannabe copy of live. Half of it is stolen ideas from microsoft. So no reason to think sony wont steal this as well.

But outside of that... its still really cool.

This is lame, it will only let me buy new points to transfer them as a gift, I can't use my huge sum of existing points... very lame.
