New And Need Some Help Please

i have decided to mod my boys wii for him i have installed the wiikey
i have put a back up game in to it to test and the game shows on the dash board when you click on it you then get taken to the main screen of the game when you click start the screen goes black and stays black and that happens on every game apart from the orig ones it has 1.3 firmware :confused::confused::confused:....

any help is very much appecaited

sorry bout that its a pal machine trying to play res evil cronicles mario vs sonic and redsteel but they all do the same u see the pic in the box when you click to play the game you get a black screen and nothing more all the soldering is a good job so shouldnt be no problem their

all the games and the machine are pal i have used the wiikey config disc and unlocked region but it seems that when i put the disc in everything has reset is their a swap trick or something im missing?

also when i get the black screen it locks up the only thing i can do is eject the disc and then i have to pull the power cable out to turn it off:eek:

You're not missing any 'swap trick' or anything, there's a fault somewhere.

Has it ever played originals?

rite a quick update found out that when you download a game and run it through the wii patcher so the game doesnt update if the game is pal then you dont need to do this as it will just give you a black screen but you need to do it to ntsc games cheers for the help anyway guys

I'd say it's a media problem. When I first installed my WiiKey I used TDK DVDs for my first back-ups. They would show the title animation, but if you try to play the game it's laggy and freezes a lot. Next I tried some CompUSA generics and those just didn't boot. Finally, I tried some 'Nexxtek' brand DVDs and those worked great. Just keep trying with whatever DVDs you have. Here are some that worked for me Nexxtek, Sony, and Kodak. I've also got some Playo brand DVDs that work for the most part, but produce occasional DREs.
