View Full Version : Rock Band DLC coming next week for 360, PS3 owners to wait

A Harmonix dev has posted on the official Rock Band forums that there will be downlodable content for Xbox 360 owners next week with an announcement being made soon. Unfortunately Sony's offices are closed next week so the DLC will be postponed for Playstation platforms until they get back but will go up on the Xbox Marketplace as scheduled.


There will be DLC next week. An announcement will go out today or Monday.

Sony's offices are closed next week and the DLC will be postponed for a week until they come back (but they'll be back on schedule the following week when they get a double-dose of DLC awesomeness). It will go up in the Xbox Marketplace as regularly scheduled.

As for what we are planning on fixing and all of that? I am saying nothing until it is all final. You see what happens when things get announced and then due to extenuating circumstances don't pan out? I get drawn and quartered. No thank you.

offices are closed for the holidays no biggie...

(but they'll be back on schedule the following week when they get a double-dose of DLC awesomeness).

Freaking NICE!!!!! I was looking on xbox live earlier to see if anything new for rockband was out. This is great news that its coming! :D Just in time for x-mas parties!!!!! :D

Yeah, getting shafted by not being able to spend even more money on a game after they have paid for it once.

DLC - a fool and his money is easily parted (wether he owns a ps3 or a wii or a 360).

PS3 already got a couple DLC's for Rockband so its not a big deal that one gets posponed for the holidays.

The song addon packs like David bowie count as DLC right? Cuz max console confuses me in another thread when they said Guitar hero 3 has no DLC yet, when the PSN has tons of song packs to DL..

So Sony are to blame for giving their employees time off at Christmas. I would rather someone have time off at Christmas and wait a week personally.

Try to spin it anyway you like as delays and other nonsense but Sony win here by not making some poor sod work his Christmas just to update DLC.

If you work in retail... yes you should be working at some point upto the holiday. Thats how you get sales. No one felt sorry for me when i use to work on x-mas and i dont feel sorry for sony for missing sales again! Oh well atleast i dont have to wait for the xbox 360 content.

yea i agree... it shows that sony is actually human and has some dignity. I'm pretty sure most other companies do this too...

Im not gonna be spending my christmas waiting for online to get updated so i can pay for DLC. I'm gonna be playing offline multiplayer with RL friends and family like a normal person.

I'm Willing to bet Nintendo's offices are closed too...
