UK retailer GameStation is currently shaving off at least £30 off of the suggested retail price on the Xbox 360 Arcade SKU. It is now priced at just £149.99.

Say what you will about the 360 but this is a bargain, if I didn't have 3 already i'd buy one at that price

In my honest opinion it would appear that Gamestation have probably jumped the que by a few weeks. I would not be surprised in the slightest to see Micro$oft set this price as standard within the next few weeks as an answer to the PS3 finally starting to hit hard into their sales. The problem they will then have is that this makes the PS3 look good value when you consider what you get in the box for your money.

I wonder if these SKU's have the newer boards and processors?

Selling the arcade SKU is suicide in my opinion , without the additional Hard Drive I think it'll be a serious disadvantage to the consumer,microsoft,content providers and the game developer.

Granted they could buy a additional harddrive , but what % of people buy addidtion phericals or accesories that cost anything over £40 for their consoles , a very low % i'll tell you that.

But appart from that incredibly cheap for a next gen console , this is somewhat like the $199 price point in the USA.

This is because it is not selling the PS3 is totally sold out at my local game and gamestation even the preowned PS3's have gone, now the window is full of preowned and new 360's. :D

You didn't get my point , £150 would be seen as affordable in the UK in the same way that $199 would be seen as affordable in the US , this = sales burst at least.

You should come to my local gamestation, they have plenty of 40GB PS3's, but no 60GB or 360 Elites, not many Core/Arcade or Premiums either. I suspect the price drop is because their is more competition to sell 360's this time of year as you can get them practically anywhere, while a lot fewer shops sell PS3's and none sell Wii's (which is probably another reason for the price drop, sell core/arcade 360's instead to people wanting Wii's)

You can find ps3 at any electronic seller where i live. It hasn't been sold out anywhere since launch.

premium i can only find with games at £250.. i don't want 3 games with it, just give me the xbox for 200 and keep the games.

if i get another 203w then i will sell the older xbox & keep the new one until jasper sku comes out in august (gpu&cpu both 65nm) this will be the one to get.

I think you are hoping too much. £150 is a nice round price point and I would be amazed if it sells much lower in the next 6 months.
