I read that its safe and the drives are interchangable and i read people have sucess with a d2b drive inside a d2c wii.. but what about the other way around putting a d2c inside an original d2b wii.. will that work anyone know?

the D2B and D2C are chips on the motherboard an yes they have been swapped successfully. If I had to guess from common sense I would say that the d2c chip could not replace a d2b chip on a board that was meant for the d2b.

I believe he asked about switching drives between Wii's, not chips between drives. Much different.
I would bet money that it would work fine.

Yeah, the Wii doesn't have the kind of protection the 360 employs with drive swapping so you shouldn't have any problems.
