For the first time in ages, Rare has issued a new image of Banjo Kazooie in the form of a Christmas Card. Can we draw anything from it? Well perhaps an idea of where they are going with the art work...

I could care less about Banjo Kazooie or Killer Instinct 3, (leave the fighting games to the Japanese, they are the only ones who can do them right!!!) if Rare is going to bring back anything it should be Battle Toads!

How can they neglect their seminal series "Grabbed by the Ghoulies," the title we got after Rare jumped ship ?

Clearly you did not know the awesome that was Killer instinct. Best fighter on the SNES. Period.

I feel sorry for you if you never played or liked the game back in the day cause you missed out on some of the most awsome fighting rounds ever played and thatīs including the awesome game T3kken

OK, RARE needs to announce KI 3 finally and stop teasing, or even release KI 1/ 2 on XBLA, that alone would make my 2008 year for gaming.

just the memories of KI1 and 2 make me drool all over again, we still play them my friends and I on Xbox 1... God i love that series.

I remember when Killer Instinct came out for SNES. Me and my friends were so excited over this amazing game. We all rode our bikes to KB Toys and bought it the day it came out. We stayed at my friends house and played the game all through the night while listening to the free Killer Cuts promo CD that came with the game. We were amazed with the graphics -- they were among the best we'd seen on our aging SNES. We thought we'd never want to play another fighting game after Killer Instinct.

About a week later we lost interest in Killer Instinct and went back to Street Fighter.

Not much love for KI here...im not a fan of the fighting genre...the only ones I really enjoy are the 2d street fighters and King of Fighters series...

Two major conflicting opinions of killer instinct. i have to say this game rocked back in the day i remember lots of late nights playing this game at cousins house. I cant see why you wouldn't like it, unless u were playing the game alone!

[This is Ichinisan]

When Killer Instinct was coming to SNES, I had absolutely no interest in fighting games. I could only wait and watch with complete disinterest while all of my friends only wanted to play Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. I felt obligated to buy KI for SNES because my friends were beyond excited for it and I had to get some good games compatible with the SNES XBAND video game modem. Also, watching people play the arcade game was amazing. I am a huge fan of Rare's Donkey Kong Country and still one of the best players. I gave Killer Instinct a chance and came to love it. The fighting system was EXTREMELY deep. There is a *real* combo system, but also a "slappy" system that allows you to mix things up and be unexpected. When you throw in press-release openers/linkers/finishers, you can do even more amazing and unexpected things. Playing on XBAND, my skills reached a level that I have yet to see elsewhere. Perhaps I should challenge some of you? ;)

To this day, I still can't stand the Mortal Kombat series. I honestly don't know how it ever could have been so popular. Though I'm sure to hear a lot of protest, even Street Fighter II seems comparatively shallow.

I love beatemups but found the KI series terrbile. I certainly wouldn't complain if the did make KI3 (it would be better than 98% of the 360 games I've already got) but I can't wait for banjo (lets hope they don't do a conker and make it really bad).
