Internet retailer Amazon is currently accepting pre-orders for Gears of War 2 on the Xbox 360. The sequel currently has a release date of November 15th 2008 stamped on it by Amazon.

Thats just stupid... no reason to pre order a game that is that far off.

Over 1 year. Don't speak if it will go out really, and surely, every time that speak of a date, usually postponed always.

Although I agree that it's stupid to reserve a game with 1 year of anticipation, I don't think it will be delayed, they already have the engine, the characters and some of the textures, therefore I'll bet it'll be like an expansion. Don't get me wrong I like it and I'll buy it, but sequels are mostly that an expansion of the previews one.

Wow thats early to start taking peoples money. I don't think a single peice of code has been done for Gears 2 yet, they are still on UT3.

I preordered Duke Nukem forever on amazon in 1998...thats what taught me that preorders are a waste.

Only time I ever preorder is to get the free sh!t they give away with it. Even then its not important all the time I got the galaxy coin 2 days after the game was released and I just got the stupid ledgendary bundle sunday since it was $60 at walmart.

Though sometimes I do preorder the small time games that wont see a big release. At this day and age though I dont really see many games as being hard to find.

I read a press conference M$ had and if im not mistaken PM said that the Gears of War IP and Halo IP would be released the year after another and this was after GeOW 1 came out and since we had Halo 3 this year i wouldn't count out GeOW 2 being announced for a Nov release at E3 2008 :p

Yeah I remember that being said, I really need to pick up GoW just got distracted with everything else and didnt own a 360 when it came out.
