you buy a 360 and switch it on play for a couple of hours RROD
call for warranty repair gets picked up goes to service centre
gets repaired gets sent back to customer

i'd be more concerned about the 360's love of turning dvd's into grooved 45rpm singles if you breathe near it, because outdoors it should get plenty of airflow to help negate the rrod problem (at least for a while).
