Postal dev: Manhunt 2 was a piece of s**t

Vince Desi, CEO of Running With Scissors (creators of the Postal series) has said they will not be toning down the violence in Postal III following the problems with Manhunt 2. He said "Manhunt 2 was a piece of sh*t that expressed extreme violence in a dramatic fashion." He emphasized that Postal focussed on humor rather than violence and how much blood you can splash on the screen.

"No, not at all," Desi told us. "The problem has been more in the misleading and inaccurate coverage than the actual content and context. Postal the game emphasizes humor and choice, not violence and the requirement to kill like other M rated games.

"Manhunt 2 was a piece of **** that expressed extreme violence in a dramatic fashion. I wouldn't have banned it, but its nothing like Postal. Again, if the media and gamers were to ever actually play Postal, before writing about it, things would be different. The fact is when you look at our reviews, we get very high scores from gamers and press when they actually played.

If I were him, I would shut my pie hole. Postal 1 was a pretty fun game, but Postal 2 was just horrendous. Manhunt uses heavy violence to sell the game, while Postal uses humor? I didn't really find anything funny about Postal 2... just a poorly done game with **** graphics, awful loading times, and Gary Coleman. Ugh....

Here's to hoping that Postal 3 is playable.

I dunno...I agree with him. Postal was funny...who didnt laugh at the Department store or Marching Band levels? The second had its moments with the drink, smoke a bowl, run around and smack people with a shovel gameplay. It wasnt something you could take seriously. Manhunt I just dont get, the first one was dark enough that I had no interest in finishing it, the second I rented and its the first game I have ever returned the next day.

Yeah well, Postal isn't even on the PSP in the first place anyway, so that's a pretty lame reason.

Anyway... I personally enjoy bashing someones head off with a shovel more rather than the manhunt cut-scene like kills.

postal 2 was pretty fun. there's just something inherently funny about getting a can of petrol and pouring it all over a marching band, then lighting them up or pissing on your dad's grave and getting knocked out to then wake up in a gimp suit. hell, one part reminds me of league of gentlemen (the butcher :P).

the only good thing running with scissors has ever come up was their e3 booth babes.. that it.. postal was crap.. the game's graphics sucked and gameplay get repetitive too fast..

All i know is that HM2 sucked i hated it vary lame game.
