View Full Version : MS confirm UK video market place issues
Ms have created a troubleshoot guide for issues users may have experienced when trying to purchase or rent content from the Video Marketplace. The European launch yesterday had issues such as downloads not finishing and the wrong content being sent. Microsoft have said 'This issue is currently under investigation and we apologize for the inconvenience.' They also said they will refund Microsoft Points to anyone who received content different from what they ordered.

is there even something good about this shitty service
they charge the gold members and they get laggy service they deny silver members demos for one week after they are avaliable, after the fall update if you changed your email, your entire record would be wiped clean( xmas present from microshit) .
Shift to PSN and do yourselves a favor xbots

this is very bad people pay for the service & still get denied demo's for a week  on Sony Playstation Network all demo's are FREE for everyone to download them at anytime & online gaming is also FREE no $40 fees to play.;)

tut satel wrong again my friend, The only users who have to wait a week for demos are silver members who pay nothing for live and therefore pay nothing for demo's. Your criticism of the 360 wouldnt be so laughable if it wasnt so wrong on all occasions. As for the video content i have my reservations about the service but all credit to M$ for recognising their is a problem and working to fix it.

Worked fine for me yesterday(altho v slow) but one of my friends has had an issue with the video he is downloading corrupting itself before the download finishes.
Speed was appalling yesterday - i've 8meg net connection which will generally grab a hd movie in about 2hours unless its from video marketplace, a 4.9gig file took 8hours to download yesterday!!!

no i'm not wrong, the silver account is free because the main feature which is ((multiplayer online gaming)) in NOT included & still you have to wait 1 week before you can download the free demo's which is terrible specially when everything is FREE on Sony's PSN inc multiplayer online gaming unlike micro$oft's live where you have to pay $49.99 every 12 months to access it.

I'm in Canada and tried previewing a number of videos.
Some of them kept giving an error stating "Cannot locate Storage Device" @#$##$% AND others worked fine.
I have a Premium with 10.2 gigs of free space.

See satel, your forgetting your own arguments quickly. again silver member pay nothing for live and they are the only ones who have to wait a week. Gold members who do pay for live get the demos as soon as they are released, im not going to argue the point over the £40 fee for live as its down to the individual wether they want to pay for it or not.

in this generation of console gaming the online multiplayer should not be a choice but a must have feature (after paying for the game you shouldn't have to pay again to have fun) but unfortunately microca$h is ripping off their victims by making them pay again, its bad enough selling them defective & outdated hardware.

I have to agree with satel on this as there is double standards on here that say short 360 games are ok if multi player as you get the hrs out online play, but if on 360 you have to pay extra to use this facility. Yet the bashing of the ps3 for short games when extra multi play is free is rampant at times.
More on topic I find it disappointing you need gold for the film service and they say things like you might get the wrong content. Does this mean an 18 rated film instead of a 12 could happen. I wasn't planning on using this service as the console is too loud for film play (just internal fans is too much), but hoped this service would push sony into better things and we all win as consumers.
