How to Insert GameSaves/Profiles Into Your HDD [PICS]

This tutorial is meant for everyone who doesn't know what to do with gamesaves or profiles. Just in case your wondering, Ive made this tutorial.

Materials
1) Xbox 360 Transfer Kit [I use Xport 360]
2) Xplorer 360 [Download At Bottom]
3) WinRAR [Download Here (http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar371.exe)]

The difference between Xport and Xsata are that Xport only connects to your computer. Xsata connects to both your computer and xbox.

What is the Xsata?
With XSATA you can free up hard drive space by transferring content between your console and your PC. Use your computer’s hard drive to store materials you’re not currently using, and transfer them back to the XB360’s drive when needed.
XSATA lets you free up hard drive space by transferring content between your console and your PC. Using your XBox 360 file manager software such as the free PC app Xplorer 360, you can use XSATA to transfer materials from your console's hard drive to your PC, using your computer's hard disc space to store demos, game saves and other such materials you're not currently using. When you need them again, just transfer back to the XB360's drive. Once the data is on your PC, you can email content not locked to your machine or L!ve account to your friends for them to use on their own consoles too. XSATA is a plug-and-play device that sits between your XB360's hard drive and the console itself. There's no need to remove your XB360's hard drive to use it. The PC and the 360 can then 'share' the HDD so it can remain in place at all times. To connect your console to your computer, just plug the supplied cable into the High Speed USB port on the back of XSATA and into any spare USB port on your PC. What is the XB360 Transfer Kit?
Transfer Kit allows you to move data from your Xbox 360 memory cards to your PC. By using your PC's HDD to hold back-up 'images' of your Xbox 360 memory cards, you can archive and restore them at any time.
Backing up your memory card couldn't be simpler. Using your Transfer Kit PC application and USB dock, you can save the entire contents of your XB360 memory card to your computer's hard drive as an 'image' file. Each image file automatically logs the time and date of backup, and you can add your own descriptions and file names, so you always know what's where. It's just as simple to restore an image file to your memory card too. Again using the PC application, just click on the 'Hard Drive' blade and you're shown a list of backed-up memory card images, replete with the date and time at which they were saved and the name and description entered when you backed up. Just plug in your USB dock and an XB360 memory card, and you can restore the image file to the card and use the saves in your console once more. When you've archived your memory card, you can email the backed-up image to your friends and share your saves with friends from all over the world. Once you have those, were ready to get started.[I will show profiles first and then gamesaves afterwards.]


Step-1
Download the profile and extract it into your desktop or any folder that you like. This is where WinRAR comes in handy

Step-2
Once you've got that done, open up Xplorer 360. Go to Drive/Open/Harddrive or MemCard. Depending on how fast your computer is, it may take a while to load.

Step-3
Once thats done, go to Partition 3/Content. All the folders below are the profiles on your harddrive except the folder named 000000000000... This is where your going to need to insert your downloaded profile. Right click and select insert folder, not insert file. A screen will pop up showing to select a folder, go to the folder that you've downloaded and select it. If your lazy like me, you can just select your folder on your desktop and simply drag and drop it into Xplorer 360.

When your done injecting the profile, this is where it should be

Now just put your harddrive back into your Xbox and check to see if it worked. Congratulations, you've just successfully injected a profile into your harddrive. Now go have a party, get wasted.


...but wait, before you do anything, your going to have to know how you SPG. Awww, party's over and your not getting laid tonight.


How to SPG [Credit goes to Jabs]

What you need to do this glitch:
Any Xbox 360. Updated, unupdated, etc.
Xbox Live GOLD accounts work best. I have not thoroughly tested this out using silver accounts. Some variations may work for silver accounts but the intent of this thread is for Xbox Live GOLD accounts.
Two controllers.
Two profiles. One that has a bunch of achievements on it. This is called the SOURCE profile. The other profile is the DESTINATION profile, or the profile that you want to get unlock achievements on.

How to perform the glitch:
1)Sign in to your SOURCE profile on controller #1.
*Do NOT sign in on controller #2.*
2)Start the game up.
You may or may not have to actually load the game (load the save for that particular game). It really depends on what game you are performing the glitch on as they vary.
3)Press the guide button on controller #2.
4)Press the X (blue button) on controller #2.
5)Put controller #2 down.
6)Sign in to the DESTINATION profile on controller ONE #1.
At this point you should be able to perform the glitches below. Good luck and enjoy!


HOW TO INSERT A GAMESAVE

Gamesaves and profiles are 2 totally different things. Some games require gamesaves to get the achievements, while other require profiles.

*Note that your need to have a save for the game in order for your this to work. Otherwise, whats the point?

Step-1
Extract the gamesave folder to your desktop using WinRAR.

Afterwards, follow Steps 2 above.


Step-2
Go into Partition 3/Content. Your going to need to locate your profile. Its usually the one under the folder named 000000000000000. Click the plus sign to expand it and see the sub folders. This is where all your gamesaves are located.

Im going to be inserting a GH2 gamesave. You can do this with any gamesave, but im using this one as an example. Just in case, EACH GAMESAVE HAS ITS OWN FOLDER, so dont go jamming everything into one folder.


Step-3
Now to insert the gamesave. You can do this in 2 ways.

1) Make a backup copy of the folder that your going to replace and save it somewhere in your computer. Then delete it from your harddrive and insert the downloaded one.

2) Go into the folder with the gamesave that your going to replace. Then go into the sub folder and your gamesave should be there. [Ex) Id go into folder 415607E7 and go into the sub folder and in that Ill find my GH2 save.] Make a backup copy of that gamesave on my computer and delete it from my harddrive afterwards. Then insert the gamesave that you downloaded in its place. NOT THE FOLDER. ITS INSIDE THE FOLDER.

Step-4
Start the game and see if your gamesave worked. In some games you might have to beat a level to get the achievements or kill someone or something of that nature.

I belive a FATX drive is another name for you HDD, ive had problems with this too on my friends HDD.

To fix this make sure that your transfer kit is plugged into the USB port or any other port of your computer correctly, Usually when i plug something into the USB i get a weird sound. This lets me know that its in. You also need to make sure that your HDD is in the slot correctly. If all fails, then i think the HDD or memcard is just not able to work with your computer. MS mite have made a few modifications to them so you cant get gamesaves in them.

the Xport 360 Software is not reading the 120's partitions properly so it wont work with it.. only works with 20 gig hds until there is a patch or something

I got the same "cannot find a FATX drive to open!" message.

MY FIX: Boot into safe mode and it works fine for me. If i am not in safe mode i get the error every time. Hope this helps. to get into safe mode, rebote and hit the "F8" key while it is booting up!

xport at curcuit city is 40 bucks, tht wat i have, i mean the chioce is up to u, xsata connects to both ur xbox and comp so u dont needa move HDD'd, the xport only connects to ur computer, id recoomend xport if ur comp was in a different location but your choice.

Ok look alot of the saves were blacklisted. But you can do spg. Search the forums and youll find out how to do spg. But if you find a working save what you have to do it open ur mc in xplorer 360. Find your profile. Then find the game. Put the save in there. Its a little harder to explain. But lost hope guides w/pics is perfect

Great tut and all, but is there any way of doing this without the danger of being traced? Would I be able to be traced if I did this?:

1. Disconnect from Xbox live
2. Remove power cable and wait a minute (loses date and time)
3. Remove hard drive and backup my saves
4. Put on 100% saves/profiles
5. Do what is needed for glitch
6. Delete saves and profile
7. Put my backed up saves back on.

I know that these forums need a little cleaning up, but try to find a title that says, "Con Signer, or better yet NXE Con Signer if you have updated to the new dash on live." Take one of the saves from your xbox360 HD ex. Lost Odyssey and copy it to your computer desktop. Open up the Con Signer, and browse for the file that you just copied to your desktop. That's where you'll find your Profile ID and Device ID. There should be a save button. Click it!

Now you're ready to put gamesaves on your xbox360 HD. Open up con signer again and open up a save that you downloaded to your computer HD. Some have many files while others only have one. With lost odyssey, I think there's about 4. Load each save up with the con signer. Hit the load button(it loads the profile and device id to match your gamertag so it doesn't show up corrupted). You have to load and resign each save separately unless you're using a mass signer. Make sure you hit the resign button, and you should have a save that works! Good luck :)

hi all! i'm new to this and i've been reading about this for quite some time now. unfortunately, there are still a lot of things i don't get.

first, lemme mention what i have, i have a datel xport 360, xport360 and xplorer360 softwares (dunno though if these are up-to-date), a couple of 20gb hdds and a 64mb memory unit.

I bought a new 360 (jasper) and i've transfered all my gamesaves from my old console (elite) to the new console, after recovered my gamertag in the new one my saves wont load, it says corrupted save. The strange thing is if i put back my 120gb HDD on 360 elite they are all fine.

Wait. Hold on just a second.

Theres no point saying this will boost your gamerscore points and achievements when MS can ban you for tampering with it.

Basically, if MS see that the achievements are not unlocked in order, then they will ban you from XBL. If they are unlocked in order, you should be okay, but no gamesave allows you to unlock them in order, unless you keep swapping gamesaves level by level. (IE, Plug it in, transfer save of level 1. Load it on Xbox and achievement unlocked. Unplug and plug back into PC. Transfer save of Level 2. Load on Xbox and ahievement unlocked.)

Its a long and tedious process, but thats the only way I could see this working without MS giving you a Royal Rollocking about tampering with the Gamerscore system.

I'm new to the site and am still very new to 360 game saves. I've been on multiple sites looking for an answer to my problem with no results(xbox-scene/xbox sky tracker). So please, if you could help that would be amazing. Here we go:

I was banned from xbox live(before nxe update), so I recovered my account on another system(bought a new one and it has the nxe update on it). I've been trying to transfer my gamesaves to the new xbox with no success. All the saves show up as corrupted on the new box. I've even tried putting the old drive on the new xbox and everything, even the profile itself, shows up as corrupted yet they work(profile and saves) fine on my old xbox. Has anyone had this problem? If so, how did you get around it? I don't care what I have to buy or what I have to do, as long as I get all my gamesaves back. There's no way I'm starting over all my games again.

Hello everyone I am using the Datel Migration Kit, which is just a cable where you can connect your memory card to your PC.
These are the instructions I followed:


Note: As of Beta 5 you can just install the Datel drivers. So just download the latest version of Xplorer 360. This will make life a lot easier for all you guys. Then continue onto the second post in this thread. Ummm actually their seems to be a few issues so still follow the instructions below.

Instructions for versions prior to Beta5. (And for the moment present versions. Found issues with Datel drivers.)

NOTE: Do not install the drivers that come with the transfer kit!

1) Plug in the Datel Transfer Kit and insert your memory card.

2) Click cancel when it asks you to install the new hardware. (This will happen twice.)

3) Right click on 'My Computer' and select properties. Now click on the 'Hardware' tab. You should see the following screen:



4) Now select 'Device Manager', scroll down to 'Other devices' and click on the + symbol beside it:



5) Right click on 'Memory Unit' (if you don't see this check Part 5) and select 'Update Driver...'. If asked whether you want to connect to Windows Update select 'No, not this time' and then click 'Next'. On the next screen select 'Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)':



6) On the next screen select 'Don't search I will choose the driver to install.' This should launch the hardware update wizard. Scroll down to 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' which appears near the bottom of the list:



7) On the next screen check that 'USB Mass Storage Device' is highlighted and select 'Next'. If a 'Update Driver Warning' appears select 'Yes':



8) Windows will now install the driver. Once this is complete the new hardware wizard will appear again. Click cancel when it does. If you now scroll back up to 'Other devices' you will notice that 'Memory Unit' has been removed and 'MSFT Memory Unit USB Device' has appeared in it's place:



9) Now similar to before right click on 'MSFT Memory Unit USB Device'. If asked whether you want to use Windows Update again select 'No, not this time' then on the next screen select 'Install from a list or specific location (Advanced). Then after clicking 'Next' select 'Don't search. I will choose the driver to install.' You should now be back at the 'Hardware Update Wizard'. 11) You can then click finish and close 'Device Manager'. Your memory card reader is now installed.


Ok my problem is that when I open up Xplorer it shows Partition 0 and Partition 1. Partition 0 has a cache folder and a name.txt
However, when it won't let me open up Partition 1 which suppose to have all of your gamesaves and profiles, has anyone experienced the same problem and know how to fix it?

I'm new to the site and am still very new to 360 game saves. I've been on multiple sites looking for an answer to my problem with no results(xbox-scene/xbox sky tracker). So please, if you could help that would be amazing. Here we go:

I was banned from xbox live(before nxe update), so I recovered my account on another system(bought a new one and it has the nxe update on it). I've been trying to transfer my gamesaves to the new xbox with no success. All the saves show up as corrupted on the new box. I've even tried putting the old drive on the new xbox and everything, even the profile itself, shows up as corrupted yet they work(profile and saves) fine on my old xbox. Has anyone had this problem? If so, how did you get around it? I don't care what I have to buy or what I have to do, as long as I get all my gamesaves back. There's no way I'm starting over all my games again.

I would say that you have to resign your gamesaves to the profile on your new Xbox. Im workin on a tutorial for it, so hang tight

I bought a new 360 (jasper) and i've transfered all my gamesaves from my old console (elite) to the new console, after recovered my gamertag in the new one my saves wont load, it says corrupted save. The strange thing is if i put back my 120gb HDD on 360 elite they are all fine.

hi all! i'm new to this and i've been reading about this for quite some time now. unfortunately, there are still a lot of things i don't get.

first, lemme mention what i have, i have a datel xport 360, xport360 and xplorer360 softwares (dunno though if these are up-to-date), a couple of 20gb hdds and a 64mb memory unit.

now for the questions, is this done to boost gamerscore and achievements? can i do this with what i have? in the process mentioned in page 1 of this thread, where does resigning come into play? what is the best resigner out there that will work for me (i have nxe)? can i get banned from live if i do this incorrectly or i'll just get a reset?

1) It helps to boost both. Yes you can do this with what you have. Resigning comes when you want to take someone else's save and make it work for you.
You can get banned, but i dont think its likely to happen unless you have a really high GS (200,000)

I just got a 360 elite and downloaded some save files from this site. I followed the tutorial to add the save files to the appropriate folder. The profile I created was NOT a Xbox live profile(wonder if that's the problem). Anyway, the files appears to be corrupted according to my xbox. From my understanding, each save files are corresponding to the gamer profile, so if I downloaded a save file, do I have to also download the gamer profile that's attached to the save? Also, my box is not modded so I wonder if that would prevent me from using the saves.....

Ive said this many times before but you need to resign the save to your profile so it doesn't show up as corrupt. I'm working on a tutorial but I need permission from the creator of the software. I can't get a hold of him.

Hi there, i read and i got the same problem, but i found why is not working.... before you put in your drive you need to use a software like xploder resinger to resign the savegame to your xbox for security problem..... if you need where to get the soft i can told you just pm..... not sure if i can post the web site....

You dont need a mod 360, not sure but i dont think pal or ntsc will have any difference for savegame.... i think is only DVD....

On the Xbox V1 I used NTSC gamesaves on PAL games with no problems, however, they ARE marked whether they are NTSC if it matters, when you download the save.

Just get it and try it. If you cant get it to work, then it doesnt work. :P

You can just open up the hard-drive case and plug the hard-drive on a SATA port. That's how I did it with my old 20GB, but now I also have the MS transfer kit.

Ok well I just got an Xport 360 and am trying to move game saves from one 120Gb HD to another 120Gb HD, I can manage to copy the files to the PC using the updated Xport software, however it cannot write anything but folders to the drive for some reason. And even then it creates a bunch of extra file folders in the 3rd partition.

When trying to use Xplorer 360, Partition 3 shows up as empty so I cant see/do anything.

Any ideas?

I've followed your method and I'm able to access partition 1, Just wondering if you did update the 2nd device driver? Which is a sort of MS security device? For that driver, I'm using the driver that came with the CD.

Things ain't working as smootlhy as the tutorial shows for me :(. I am using the transfer kit with a 512mb memorycard. Neather Xplorer 360 or Xchange 360 are "Recognizing" my memory card, despite the fact it is actually installed correctly according to the "Device manager". Anyone have a clue what to do about it?

I bought a WD Scorpio to replace my on old 360 HDD lost Xbox1 compatiblilty don't really mind that. What I really want is to put all my old saves on to my new HDD. I have the Team Xecuter Xb360 HD Adaptor V2. Now here's where it gets tricky...
I'm using Xplorer 360 Version 6 and I can not seem to see my new drive. When I check my device manager the HD shows up while the the original Xbox360 drive never showed up. Could this be because I made an undo.sys file? Any Ideas would make my day.

I was reading through the tutorials since I'm new to transferring save games and I understand the processes. The thing I do not understand and can not figure out is what is the point of the SPG glitch? Why would I need to do this? Is this only for achievements? If I want to create a new profile only for downloaded save games (I don't care about achievement points), is this step necessary?

Just unlocking the achievements do just that, unlock achievements only.
To be able to view the content of the achievement you would need that game save or your own game save.

An example of this would be you completed the game achievement and now you're supposed to have the unlocked mega weapon. Well if your game save doesn't have the data needed to say you did complete the game then "NO MEGA WEAPON FOR YOU!". Understand?

Can anyone help me with transferring some data between my pc & 360? I have the xport360 version 2.08 13 aug'09, xplorer360 beta 6, xport and microsoft data migration tool.

My first problem is that xplorer360 never works for me. I can run the program but as soon as I select drive/open/harddrive or memcard I get the error can not find FATX drive to open.

My second problem is that when using the xport360 program it only detects my memory card and not my 120 harddrive. Which is a problem for games that have saves that just can't be moved to a memory card. So does anyone have any solutions that could help me out?

Finally where do the xbox game saves go? Not the 360 but regular xbox. I want to inject one for Guilty gear.

If you have a 120gb HDD then it may take a while for the info to pop up. This is especially the case when you are not using a 2.0 USB slot. Just select partition 3 and sit back and wait. If you can see your partitions your in business.:cool:
