PSPectrum v0.1 Released For PSP

After 4 months of hard working development, the team responsible have released the first version of their cool spectrum emulator for the PSP called PSPectrum. The next versions will come with more fancy options, like altering the screen display but for now enjoy this fine release.

Been testing this tonight and found it to be an excellent first release !!

I tried a few games, Jet Pac, Manic miner worked flawlessy but i had sound sync issues with games like Technician Ted, boulderdash and thunderbirds.

Not sure if i was doing something wrong or not, i will be testing further at work tommorow and emailing the author(s) my findings.

Yes, this is a nice surprise, normally first builds are very 'poor' - but they took their time to make something solid right from the word Go :)

Very good stuff, there. 48K only for now, but it runs a nice game of Rebelstar and Laser Squad. I'm very impressed.

Hi Guys

You all seem to have had some success with pspectrum and wondered if you can help.

Managed to get the emulator up and running,but as soon as I press any key to start as it says the screen goes black and the psp shuts down.

I have a folder in Pspectrum called games where a copy of skooldaze and others are but no success!!!

please help believe when I say it was one of the deciding factors of buying a psp
to play a spectrum on the train to work!!

You need the ROMs (48.rom and another) if you don't already have them.

i loaded up manic miner but all i get is the mm loading screen - it never goes to the actual game - any ideas?

Yes, bring up the speccy keyboard and navigate to the ENTER button on the right hand side and your game will start.

This is also true of some other games like most Ultimate games ( jetpac, attic attack etc ) you need to choose KEMPSTON then 0 to start game.
