I am totally new to this,so please be patient.

I have a Jap v1.0 PSP, with a 1 gb m/s.

I have downloaded iso's/games,but am totally stumped as to how to load them onto my m/stick,and get them to play.

Basically i need an idiot guide with pictures !!!!!!!

Please help,as my nipper is getting a bit impatient with me,and wants to play his PSP.

Thanks in advance. :(

First of all, to get better compatibility on the games ISO loaders i personally recommend that you update the PSP to Firmware 1.5 - find the actual 1.5 firmware from somehwere online, i'm sure someone else can link you to it. (DO NOT DO THE NETWORK UPDATE ON THE PSP)

you also need either a USB cable or a memory stick duo reader to be able to copy the files onto a PSP memory stick, to use the USB cable - plug it into the top of the PSP, then activate it by selecting 'USB Connection' on the PSP menu.

when you've done that find the 'Fastloader 0.7' program and put the files that are in the zip file into the root of the memory stick - whilst you are on the root of the PSP memory stick you should then have 4 folders

PSP\
ISO\
ISOMISC\
ISOSPLIT\

"PSP" is where the PSP memory stick homebrew files go, and all your music and images and so on.

"ISO" is where you put each full ISO file (not extracted, just the one ISO file on its own)

"ISOMISC" is where you put the background pictures for each game (not necessary really)

"ISOSPLIT" is for the UMD dumper thing, which is unnecessary too.

to install a game, simply get the ISO file of the PSP game you wish to play and put it into the "ISO" folder - depending on the size this can take a while so be patient.

when it has finished being copied over then go to the Memory Stick menu on your PSP and press X - if fastloader has been installed correctly then it should pop up showing a picture and an icon - Select the program and it will boot up

when fastloader boots up, it should show a little list of the ISOs you have on the PSP memory stick, and if a UMD is inserted, it will give you the choice of booting it up too.

select the game, insert a UMD, and away you go ...

very nice, ass ardon, make him upgrade to the oh so common 1.5. Very smart, indeed. Cunning. Like a fox. Or a wolf.

You'll need any UMD, I.e. Demo, movie, game to boot ISOs with Fastloader.
