Brimming full of confidence fron the DS scene, Neoflash will be entering the PSP market with an innovative Memory stick converter device. This product will allow you to use SD/MMC/CF cards of up to 32 GB in size on your PSP! It supports a whole range of formats including MP4, MP3, Emulators and whatever else you should throw on it. The actual board is very small, despite how it looks in the following picture - however rest assured NeoFlash will be adding a clip on plastic case housing for the board which means you can use your SD/MMC/CF cards comfortably on the move without the need for expensive and low capacity duo PRO memory sticks!

With this device you will be able to use the higher capacity and much cheaper SD/MMC/CF flash cards on your PSP!

Basic PSP Neo-MS Converter Specification

1. Support SD / MMC / CF , up to 32GB.
2. Read / Write files through PSP link to PC USB port directly, not need the extra USB loader.
3. Support ALL MP3 / MP4 / UMD Movice / EMU / ISO ..... everything.

ETA: Christmas 2005, they say it'll make a great new years gift so we expect a late December release but we hear pre orders will be accepted alot earlier to cope with the demand.

So what do you all think of this ? How does the prospect of using SD cards on the PSP Sound ? The picture shows the actual board to be quite a bit bigger than it is, the final version is said to be small and more compact.

Can maxconsole host the videoclip :D

Seems most ppl getting 1kb/s till 9kb/s download speed.

I think if it comes out it will be damned cool, been thinking now, NOT to get me a 2GB MS pro duo stick and wait for this product.

CF/SD/MMC is way cheaper :D

I'm assuming you need to have this hardware attached to the SD MS for it to work right? so now you'll have the psp and the memory converter HW?

the gonna make a much smaller one, this is a test setup, you gonna be able to stick it on the back or something.

Basicly you put in there MS pro duo adaptor in you psp, then ad sd/mmc/cf in the other end of the adaptor.

Very nice. Where can we pre-order/find out more official information???? Any word on approximate price???

Also i don't know much about SD/MMC/CF memory sticks, which would be most suitable for the psp and how much would 32GB of it cost ???

Thanks in advance.

well tbh disc access on some games is pretty bad so for those who actually buy games this is (possibly) also a good purchase :D

Hey nonzero, go fvck yourself. Not everyone is out to play illegal iso's. You use it for another purpose besides your piracy ideas.

Well, the PSP can play MP3 & videos and 2G is not much for video. (That is why many portable video player come with a HD.)

So there is actually a big use to hold more video than just playing ISOs.

It was a particularly silly comment to make by nonzero, look at the IPOD some even have 60gb version and full of peoples owned CD rips. Video's, MP3's, homebrew, emulators with roms that you own all take up a lot of space....

it's worth buying if the cost
of the device is less than the
difference between the
psp duo card and the
alternative memory card....

isn't this basically the same thing as the other thing with the adapter? i mean it just seems like a rehash of the guy who did it with the memory stick converter.

isn't this exactly the same thing team xecuter is doing only not with hdd support?

You guys are refering to PSPX (http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news&newsid=4020) from Team Xecuter ? We haven't heard much from Team Xecuter lately, it could be that they both release similar products, or maybe Team Xecuter are working on something else - who knows. But let's keep discussion on NeoFlash's product :)

Man, 3 cool things in 1 day announced...
This = Simply awesome.

(and the other guy, didnt he have a normal pro stick that he adapted to the back?)

And this *SEEMS* to be much easier to attach to the PSP (if they can pull it off)

Props to them!

Here's hoping for an earlier release date :D

In bold this time, for extra comedic effect... ;) Excuse me whilst I use my entirely legit MAME collection (I deleted all of the ROMs from machines that I don't own).

The aim of this and related hardware is to facilitate cheaper mass storage, which also means that certain individuals will now be able to live their "u83r l337 0-d4y war3z p1rat3" fantasies out.

<pictures people walking around with little red handtrucks pulling servers full of "legit" ISOs/emulators behind them to play on their hacked PSP>

Don't get me wrong - I'm not holier than thou and have more than my fair share of pirate goodies (Uh oh, here comes F.A.C.T) but it does seem that a lot of people would be more than happy to turn a portable into a transportable (there is a difference, for all of you "people of limited vocabularies") in order to facilitate piracy.

The ironing is delicious...

ok, now another long eloquent retort to the users who want their legit DVD collection on the psp?

Edit: Or would that be breaking another law too? For someone who claims not to act holier-than-thou, your attitude seems rather full of ironing.

This looks really sweet, I hope the final model is not too big and bulky. After all the PSP is supposed to be portable, even though I mostly use it at home. Anyway I was wondering what this meant:

Read / Write files through PSP link to PC USB port directly, not need the extra USB loader.

How is this different from how we do it right now? Does it mean you can stream stuff from your PC now? Somehow I doubt it, but it'd be really nice. Especially if you could do it with an ipod or something like that.

Hmm, yet another "company" that is trying to cash in on another product by ignoring their current (overcharged IMHO) customers, be warned, neoflash products have a tendency to be cheaply made (but cost a premium) and software wise Beta seems to be the only standard (judging by first hand experience with their DS software).

Much more would I like to see harddisk support, either USB or with a ms-emulation like that. That should also be possible, because CF-cards works IMO with an ide-like interface. THAT would be realy nice!
