Can this be true? 1.50 from Lik-sang

I just got my brand new PSP from Lik-Sang and when i go to settings etc it says System Software: Version 1.50

have i been extremely lucky or is this wrong?

It won't be wrong. Sounds like you got lucky!

Edit: I should add that the Version Changer program that's available can change the version number, but you can only run the program if you have Firmware version 1.0 or 1.50, so either way, if it says 1.50 it is one of the versions that has been exploited and you can run hacks.

Okej, I found a place that sells the PSP with firmware 1.0... So you are saying it will run all the goodies(isos, emulators, and what have ya) from the box, no hacked firmware needed...?

yup, nothing needed...it will run homebrew and "other" ;) stuff out of the box...
tho, its better you upgrade it to 1.5 (not above that) because lot of homebrew released these days doesnt work on 1.0...
