Moding my PS2? [Archive] - MaxConsole Forums

It's model number: SCPH 39001 and it's about 5 years old.
I have thinking for a while about chipping it, but I am not sure what chip I need to get... I have heard if I get the wrong one I could brick it and never be able to use it again.
So could anyone suggest what one I would need please?

your ps2 is the older fat one right???? instead of mod chippn it you should install the indpendance exploit and a IDE hard drive.......

independance exploit is the best
if you dont know how to get the files on a memorycard, you can use action replay, make a save with the files on pc, put on usb device, and using action replay transfer it to the memorycard
