ok im getting very confused about memor32 does it load save games or does it load things like home brewed and backup ps2 games?
It can load save games downloaded from the internet by connecting it to your PC via USB port on the card itself. It can also load patched "backups". It cannot load normal 1:1 backups though. Also the backups you create to use with memor32 won't work with regular modchips or swap magic. memor32 costs a whole lot more than swap magic.

That's not correct. I have been patching most of my games lately and they work both on my modded V9 and on my brother's unmodded V14 with the memento firmware. Haven't tested swap magic but I don't see why they shoudn't.
To be honest I think this is really a cool solution. Of course a modchip offers you more functionality at the moment (like dev1) but the fact is, you don't have to mess with a soldering iron : you just plug it in and it works just like a basic modchip.

the 'memento-patched' discs also work with swapmagic, so you dont loose any functionality. :D

Nope, all you need is the Memor32 memory card with the Memento hack/exploit on it and a back up.

I have a little question.
I patched some games and I only get a black screen?!?
Don't know why, cause it says, ''patched succesfully''
I use WinXP and yes the games are PAL. (SLES).

the memento 0.9c file will only work on PAL ps2 consoles. But it will boot all region iso games! So also ntsc on a pal console :)
I got this info from the memento team :D

Thank for the info lenselijer,
This time I patched a NTSC game and it boots fine! :D
But the other two PAL games didn't work, only black screen.

So with this I can boot NTSC games on my PAL PS2 Slimline .. nice .. Amazing .. good job guys appreciate your efforts on this ... And for those of you waiting on a free version .. go do yourself a favour and grab this card .. over here in UK it works out about £33 ...
:D
The dollar is so weak to the GBP and the Euro right now it's a gigantic ripoff. 70USD for this, you might as well buy a DMS4 modchip or something else.
Does this device boot NTSC titles on a PAL machine? I have not seen info on what this thing does and does no.
yes it does. I can play NfS Pro Street NTSC on my PAL system.
But the graphic is of curse blurry. (<--- I hope thats the right adjective ^^)

with firmware 1.1 you have dev1 and dev3
New Memento Firmware V1.1!
Like promised in our "to-do" list, we have added the first important feature to the Memento Firmware! Dev1 and DEV 3 full implementation.
It is now possible to launch up to four different .ELF applications from DEV1 (Memor32 memory card) and four different .ELF applications from DEV3 (USB Flash memory stick).
DEV2 (HDD boot of .ELF Files) will be implemented with next Firmware update, toghether with the HDD Support.
Have Fun, spread the word!
There is more to come.
