ok today my new USB Adapter arrived for my PC and the only reason i got it was because i read that i could use it to use either Tunnelling Programs for online play and make an Access Point so i can use Web Browsers, etc... but i cannot get it to work. What i got was a 'Belkin Wireless G USB Adapter' - it works but when i go to connect the PSP together with it what it does is that the USB Adapter tries to look for an access point, when i host a LAN game on the PSP the adapter can find it and that but thats a useless thing. Whilst the internet is going through my PC with a normal Broadband / CAT5 cable (which is in a router) can i not make the USB Adapter to be an access point, so my PSP picks it up for Infrastructure mode and can i use it to make the tunnelling program 'XBConnect' work with it also.

i'm getting a wifi router in the future if this doesn't work, so hopefully there'll be no need for this hassle :D

thx in advance.

I had never heard of XBConnect (so I may not be of much help), but I found their website here:
http://www.xbconnect.com/

aseddon130, I assume you've already seen and followed the instructions on this page:
http://www.xbconnect.com/xbchelp/network/psp.php
and the note at the bottom of that page:
"NOTE: A regular RJ-45 Cable can be used instead of a USB Cable for connecting the Cable/DSL Modem to the Router. This type of network setup also requires the use of WinICS"

So have you configured ICS on your PC?

p.s. As has already been said, G is backward compatible to B. So the PSP will work on G networks.

the support forum was actually buggered when i wanted it - i get as far as my PSP actually being detected by my PC on Windows,

Step 6 is as far as i get: http://www.xbconnect.com/xbchelp/network/psp.php

when XBC goes to connect to it, it never detects it ...
