Sorry, not even close to being the "First UMD video rip released" :p

And no, there's currently no way to play UMD videos with any of the existing loaders/homebrew utils. The files and structure of a UMD video and/or music disc are different than a typical game disc (although a UMD video/music disc may contain game demo content, and vice-versa). There's no eboot etc for launching the videos.

I seriously doubt any loader/launcher for watching ripped movie ISOs will come out soon. There's simply too little value or interest in doing so. Furthermore, most of the UMD movies are more than 1GB in size to store in the MS. The developers rather spend their time and energy to find ways to tweak the PSPs to watch self-made movies in full resolution.

Probably not... Most UMDs don't have extras anyway, and the ones that do still have a 1.5-1.6 GB movie file... :)

What I'd like to see is a way to launch ANY UMD movie on ANY PSP (I.e., bypassing the region check). I wouldn't think this would be too hard, but I don't know how the region coding is dealt with in the PSP...

Personally i dont see the fascination of watching and buying UMD movies for psp, instead of trying to rip extras and make a umd movie fit a 512 / 1gb mem stick why no just convert the DVD movie instead? only takes an hour and quality is excellent.

Id much prefer a good working xvid / divx player on PSP that way i could watch some TV series not available in my country.
