Russian Hackers have released v0.9c of their hacked firmware for use with the Memor 32 PS2 memory card which effectively gives the newly released memory card all the power of a PS2/Two mod chip. This version fixes some incompatibilities with some Windows XP and Vista versions. The Memor 32 is available to buy from <a href="http://www.divineo.de/php/affstart.php?affcode=66623&prod=ps2-m32" target="_blank">Divineo.de</a> / <A href="http://www.divineo.fr/php/affstart.php?affcode=66623&prod=ps2-m32" target="_blank">Divineo.fr</a> / <A href="http://www.divineo.es/php/affstart.php?affcode=66623&prod=ps2-memor32" target="_blank">Divineo.es</a> and <a href="http://www.divineo.it/php/affstart.php?affcode=66623&prod=ps2-memor32" target="_blank">Divineo.it</a>.

Quick release of a 0.9c version to fix some issues with the windows patcher.

We fixed some incompatibilities with some WinXP and Windows Vista versions. This version should be functional with all Windiws versions.

Please report any issues in the patcher or the firmware to:

Excellent, the patcher works a treat for me now (had no joy with 0.1 or 0.9b)

eagerly awaiting 1.0

Hi,is there a explanation of the features of this modded MC.
It runs in every ps2 model? (i have a pstwo 70004)
It runs for every game?
How does it work?

Do they really expect people to pay $75 for something that:

1) Isn't working out of the box (has to have this BIOS flashed)
2) Is yet to have NTSC support
3) Has to have games patched

When things like Swap Magic and inexpensive modchips exist?

Call me when it's $40. Kthxbai.

Hacked what for what!?
Memor32 is a proprietary memory cards that "mysteriously" surfaced as the soon-to-be first external no-solder modchip for PS2 just after this team announced their workings. In fact their logo looks rather alike from a designer perspective!

It isn't an hack, it's the supposed extension of a proprietary modchip supported by this team. It's a commercial product so call it just firmware upgrade. It will be an hack when it's running on standard magicgate compatible memory cards.

Yep, they are both linked. Theres however a huge gap between an firmware update and an hacked firmware ''update''.. the same gap between a retailer green to do business and a red marked one like Lik-Sang, closed. Stating as hacked remove the on purpose's and remove also the eventual lawsuits. For us, it doesn't make a difference, for them, it does ;)

i've ordered one of these, for the price of a modchip you get a no-solder solution that works in every ps2 out there, while keeping your sony warranty. how nice is that

I got one too, there wicked... u just flash the bios (very simple) & patch the games, very simple (and i can bet inv1.0 or in the future u wont have to)

Just plug it in your ps2 and its eaxctly the same as normal apart from ur games will actually load... very nice piece of kit... did anyone recieve theres in packaging? because mine came by itself with nothing at all in a pacakge?

I also received only the memorycard, not even the usb cable was included. luckily you can use a psp usb cable :D the programming works fine, done in a few seconds. Windows update found the drivers automatically. When i put it into the ps2 now i see 2 savefiles with corrupted data

My card would be great if memento would put support for NTCS soon. If they are getting $$ from card sales good.(It why I bought one) We also need Vista support for the save game manager too.(Memur said they are working it)
Im not looking for all those other features that mod chips have. We basically just want to play our backups (our kids are rough on those DVD's ;) )
Not to sound whiney its just the 3rd group promising this support. And Im just getting excited and impatient about a portable mod chip.

i finally got my memor32 by mail today (as previously stated, there was no manual, no box, no usb cable, just the card in a plastic bag)

I flashed memento 0.9c onto it, everything seems to have worked perfectly
but somehow when i use the discloader, and it tells me the iso is patched, it won't run after i burn it

it boots up but the screen stays dark and after a few seconds i get the message: play halted due to malfunction

has anybody a suggestion, what i might me doing wrong?
burned the isos with 4x speed with nero

i suspect that the loader does not patch it correctly (i use the one supplied with 0.9c)
thanks a bunch in advance

When you say "flash" the card, you mean format it, right? By the way, has it been confirmed yet that this card will work with an NTSC (US) PS2?

Beemer

First format it with the PS2 and then Flash it with the Memento Firmware Flasher.

NTSC console/games works fine.

Thanks for the info! There are so many awesome PS2 games that never made it to the US. I have to say, though, finding a seller of MEMOR32's is insanely difficult. Any suggestions on that front?
