Urgent Help needed wii not reading any disks anymore?

hi everyone

my jap wii was modded with the cyclowiz directly to the board but has been playing up for ages and stopped working completley today, so i thought i would desolder it and wiring a new one with wires?

Then when i desoldered the old chip then i noticed a dry joint and where the wire for point B would go there is nothing there.

Now my wii wont even read original games just comes up turn console off, ahhhhhhh i'm sad.

on looking at the board if i wired a new chip in and the wire for point B if i took it to the dms chip would this work .

my wii has gc2-dms and is a japanese console.

i hope i have explained this properly and any help would be appreciated thanks

have you used crappy media for ages tho? perhaps the laser's just dead

Are the disks spinning up at all? Someone brought me one the other day that I modded a long time ago. It had stopped reading any disk. Took it apart an noticed none of the disk are even spinning up anymore. I didn't know what to do from there. Just removed the mod chip. His Wii is pretty much useless now.

You could solder you connection directly to the DMS and see if that helps. Do you have any photo's of the install?

hi everyone

when i put a dvd in the drive gamecube or wii dvd the driver spins up and then it stops and says dvd cant be read turn wii off etc....

would point "B" on the wii drive matter if the track was damaged dry joint my new modchip will be here next week hopefully i can by pass the point "B" and trace the track back to the chip and put the wire for point "B" to the chip would this in theory work, any help would be appreciated...
