Wiikey SMG update - Wii sports & play originals not working

I just upgraded my wiikey to 1.9g and now I'm have DRE on Wii sports and Wii play original copies. I tried an original Zelda, and Resident Evil 4 which play fine, and all burns are good, just not those two. Anyone else have the same problem?

Yea, it's a little odd. Can I safely reflash to an older version of the wiikey software?

how odd :/ maybe another clone problem? (or bad discs?) i dont think u can downgrade

Nope, this one is not a clone. Bought from a legit wiikey reseller recently with hologram. And it can't be bad discs, because the burns work (including galaxy), the only ones that don't work are the two original wii sports and wii play. Zelda and Resident Evil which are also originals work fine.

you could try the 1.9b recovery dvd and then maybe start again

Weirdest ****... I turned the wii off for a while ... and then tried the games again and they work... I assume that the chip was acting up. It's such a clean job though, I can't see it being a problem with any of the joints. Anyway... thanks for the responses guys...

A couple of hours ago I tried loading wii sports and nothing happenned it did not even get the disc read error screen I took it out turned the wii off and tried it again and it worked

after that I turned it off again and then tried loading and the same problem happenned

But since then I have tested it out at least 15 times without any problems

this was the first time that wii sports has given me any problems and it was also the first time that I have tried using it since the wiikey 1.9g update

I loaded the SMG 1.9g update for my wiikey, and did notice that WiiPlay had a disc error and had me reinsert the disc. To make sure that it loaded correctly I disconnected the power and then reseeded the power connection. This time it worked just fine.
I loaded the new firmware even though I don't have SMG. I am very excited to get it soon.

hmm. Well seemed to have happened to me last night with Mario Galaxy as well. Wouldn't load, tried it a bunch of times... tried some other games, and everything worked out ok. Going to try SMG again today to see if it works again. Weird... maybe I have to open er' up and re-solder. I'll try using the wiikey recovery disc first and reflash, test that out for a week, then open up the system.
