Got my Wii chipped nearly 3 months ago by a local store, but was unsure which chip they used. Just called them now and they have told me they use wiikii and he stated NOT wiikey. The warranty is still active so I don't really want to take the lid off yet. I did a search on google for this and couldn't get anything. Is he talking b*llox or does it come under a different name?

Any help would be appreciated

How is the warranty still active? They had to open to it to install the Wiikii or Wiikey or whatever the hell they put in there. So unless they had a warranty from the chip installer you have no warranty.

Sorry didn't explain that correctly. The chip has a parts & labour warranty, they put a seal on the unit which if broken will void their work (not the original Nintendo one)

Yeah I believe this is definetly the case. But I belive with most clones you can still use the wiikey updates.
