Because when I was updating the Wii it said that modifying it can brick it :S

cyclowiz gets updates faster it could play smg the day after it came out, the wiikey took a few days before it was working.

smg works in d2ckey, cyclowiz and wiikey original, beyond that its hit and miss

the cyclowiz update was already almost finished, they didnt crack it faster than wiikey ppl, was more of an accident.
Anyway, it doesn't matter which of the two you buy, and if you have d2c chipset -> d2ckey

There is also supposedly a bug with the update that wiikey released to address the SMG fix. All drives read at 3x instead of 6x after the update.

Good luck getting future updates with the wiikey.

Ah well so they did release it fast to fix mario, my point was that yeah, they do update cyclowiz more and faster. But right now, they are equal. And the last wiikey update, from a new team, was fast enough. So it's no biggy, do whatever you want and what's easiest to get.

why wouldn't they on their cn site? doesn't make sense to me. (you can't order directly from the .cn site like the .com.cn and there is no link between the two on there that's why i'm suspicious)

as for which is the "best" though they all for right now do about the same, I would go with cyclowiz. the led to let you know all is ok is awesome, the pc flasher is great, the hardware disable might come in handy soon :D, the third party firmware support is very handy as well and of course, the audio-fix for gcn is just pure pwnage.

also...i've noticed more tuts and more support behind cyclowiz than wiikey. so...i would go with cyclowiz.

what really sold me on cyclowiz was the pc flash and the audio-fix though.

They found it fast, they are very good at updates, that was not something up for discussion anyway. Wiikey + cyclowiz are both great, cyclowiz is better at upgrades, but right now they both do the same thing. Team Cyclops released their first update 30 days after the chips depute. They have their own developers working on updates to their chip and actually have an active message board where they SUPPORT their chip and other products. They had an update very quickly after it was determined that there were issues with SMG.

Like I said, right now both do the exact same thing. Cyclowiz does nothing more. That makes the performance of the current wiikey version the exact same as the cyclowiz. The difference is in the speed of updates.
The leaked wiikey update was a final beta version, which that dude that quit wouldn't release yet for whatever reason. Kinda crappy, yeah! But he's gone apparently (if we can believe what's said).
Right now the last wiikey update was fast enough, cyclowiz was faster. Wiikey switched programmers, the really really slow dude is gone now. So what the future holds we don't know. Just because the update got released a lot faster does not make the actual final chip better, it makes the programmers better and faster. But I've already said this a thousand times now! Stop bein a dramaqueen :P

Conclusion: For ALL current games Wiikey = Cyclowiz, Cyclowiz has better software ppl behind it, so future games might be supported faster.
