Just having a look at the firmware directories with Fileassistant. And one of the directories in the writable area is "Theme" which is empty. As the 2.00 firmware regards the wallpapers as "Themes", has anyone got any ideas if the 1.5 firmware actually does anything with this directory?

I tried putting a couple of files (BMP & PNG) in there, nothing happened unsurprisingly...

No it isnt supported in 1.5, you have to use psppersonalize for custom backgrounds on 1.5.

I know it isn't "officially", I'm wondering if this folder actually has any purpose, or if it was just a placeholder for 2.0. (Which would sound a lot like intentionally witholding the additional functionality).

I'll hack around in the rest of the firmware and see if anything references it...

No, it was added in 2.0. 1.5 does not look for that folder and has no references to it since it was added 100% in 2.0, not merely enabled, but added.

I'm assuming you mean the theme support itself, not just the folder?

Both. There is no theme support or folder in 1.5 and there is no refernce to either.

There IS a folder in the 1.5 firmware named "THEME". Do your homework ;)
