Hey yesterday I bought a wiikey and it should be here by saturday. Now im not new to modding in general but I am new to wii modding and I have a few questions that should be easy to answers.

1. When I install my chip can I still connect my wii to the internet and use the internet channel and play (legit games) online?

2. When a new system update from nintendo comes out should I not update until I here more news from the wiikey people?

3.Im thinking about doing the quick solder method for the chip considering that im not at all experienced with soldering but if I plan on selling my wii or removing it incase of not being able to play online with future updates how hard would it be?

4. Should I just do the wire install?

5. I dont want to search everywhere and pay a high price for those one LG drives so I want to use the disc dumping way of backing my games up. I heard that if your SD card is smaller than the disc it will dump it in chunks right? So if I buy a 1gb card and the disc is like 3gb will it dump it in like 900mb pieces that I can combine on my computer?

6. And last what are some (if there are any) MUST HAVE homebrew for GCN/Wii that everyone should have?

Thanks guys:D

You will need the LG drive as the dump2sd doesnt work. I have tried about 4 different sd cards and none work. You need to format the sd card using the supplied program but the software is rubbish and keeps failing the card.

What were the brands you used? Ive watched multiple videos of the program in action and it looks fine to me.

I use the SDGecko and Sandisck high speed 2gb SD cards and works perfectly.

4gb cards DO NOT work properly

So do you think I could use a 1gb sandisk and it would work good?
