Hi; i'm new to the wii hacking world, so please don't hate me for my ignorance/ lack of knowledge.
I have a few questions;

I have a d2b wii, with my pins cut; derived by using this thread (http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=79955), and the latest wii firmware; either 3.0 or 3.1...

1. What mod chip will be compatible with this wii?
2. Is there any guide I can use to mod this wii?

I really don't mind modding it my self; I've soldered before. The only problem is I haven't found a guide specific to pin cut wiis.

Is there any way to quick solder it?

Thank you;
Althares.

Also, will my wii firmware effect anything? (just making sure X_X)..

Here's a guide for the cut legs. Cyclowiz V2 will be compatible and is popular so you can't go wrong with it. Fixing the cut legs is 5 times harder than doing the soldering just so you know.. expect to spend at least 40 minutes doing it.

Thanks for that guide... I'm guessing I'll have to do a wired install, then...

Another quick question... will a wiikey be compatible or easier to mod my wii with? Because; I believe it is a wiikey being used in the guide :\..

I've heard cyclowiz is harder, but can't tell you for sure since i have a wiikey clone.

I believe both use similar soldering points, but in your case, the hardest part would be the cut pins on the chip. good luck
