hi all

just wanna know if my case is single or someonelse lived my helly story.

I have been really lucky this year, got the opportunity to stay in japan 1 mounth (divided in 2 trips) for the Expo 2005, working for the italian pavillion.

The first thing i made before leaving the first time was buying a psp....i was so excited...and i bought a value pack(180 euro): it was march...firmware 1.0 and no dead pixels.

The second trip i bought another one for the long fly back: standard pack (140 euro), it was april, firmware 1.5 and 2 dead pixels

When i was playing in the airplain i noticed a strange touch feeling on the RIGHT trigger.
and than, playing with Minna no golf i noticed that the RIGHT trigger didnt respond to the pressure. PANIC: why, what happened, did i crashed it somewhere

PANIC PANIC PANIC
as a wipeout lover i could not live without one of the Triggers.
and anyway, i wanted my psp to work.

Arrived home i bought a good screwdriver to open that hated/loved psp trying to understand where the problem was:

i opened, took out the trigger , cleaned the contacts, closed all and wooow
it worked.

but for few days.

than again the trigger died.

i think i opened it 10 times : added some scotch to the pressing plastic but it tricked soon again.

than i decided to risk and put the battery in with the psp opened to better simulate the process.

And with big surprise i noticeed that sometimes the full horizontal pressure of the black rubbish didnt give the right signal.

So i addded a liitle piece of plastic, few millimiters of plastic at the side of the button, fixed with scotch.

Now its working fine and its the best result i achieved during this 5 mounths of suffering by opening and closing the psp....without telling how crazy i got cleaning away that bastard flying dust from the screen every time i opened it.......

Good to hear all is ok, I have to say my PSP triggers are feeling a bit dainty - hope they don't break anytime soon

i have to cry a bit and shout a lot:

when i thought to have definitively repaired my Right trigger the sad true....it is still tricking me:

what i noticed: everytime i recharge the psp than after the trigger wont work.

Maybe the overheating of the battery (tha is positioned near the right trigger) give some tilt to tje conductors of that button......i got no other explaination.

i will open it, re push the rubber and it will go ok.

a true unlucky buying......**** and i was in japan with all that 1.5 on the shelves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
