A member of the official Xbox forums has spotted some Fall Update information found on the back of a Guitar Hero III keychain leaflet. The respective item suggests that a new family timer will be integrated and reads - Family Timer, a simple tool that lets you manage how much time your kids spend on their Xbox 360, manage time in daily or weekly periods, and available in December 2007 only though Live.

There is some information coming out via a pamphlet that comes with a Guitar Hero 3 keychain, that the rumored Family Timer, which lets parents limit how much time their children can spend playing their Xbox 360, will be available in December 2007. Now, considering most major Xbox updates are done in either the Fall or Spring update, this feature would probably be a part of the Fall update. This could be an indication that the Fall update will hit in December. Fall does carry into December, after all.

yes, this is great and is needed,as people these days are too stupid, and lack the parenting skills to say to their kids,"right, time up,you've been on the 360 for 2 hours, and thats enough.now switch it off".
they need someone else to do it for them..

I hope you realize that kids are resourceful and know how to sneak around and hide what they are doing from their parents (e.g. play when their parents are not home). Just because someone is a good parent does not mean they are omniscient. This way, the kids can hide from their parents as much as they want, but it won't matter at all. I am surprised that we haven't seen this before, as it is actually a good idea.

This is a really good feature they are adding. Hopefully the parents actually use it.
