PAL Wii with SMG Update Help!

Hi,
When I insert the SMG NTSC-U disc into my PAL wii it begins to update the wii. Should I let the update fully complete or do the MP3 trick where you unplug it or turn it off after 10%? If I have to do the 10% trick then do I need another copy of SMG to run after? How did all you other PAL users do it?

I use my swap trick im also pal:)

Just do the update its mutch safer then swap :-s just update your firmware first before you update from disc.You will only get double channels once and that you can drag those to your second chanel page.

i found the swap method by accident because i kept on getting update failed

I did it yesterday (pal wii):

- Updated wii to latest version (internet update) and set the language to English;
- Set the TV system to 60Hz's;
- Updated my chip (cyclo) to version 3.6 BETA;
- Burnt a RegionFrii Mario Galaxy and a RegioFrii + BrickBlocker Mario Galaxy;
- Inserted Mario Galaxy RegioFrii only version, asked for update, waited till 15% (more or less) and un-plugued the power;
- Ejected the disk after turning on the Wii. No double-channels and no semi-brick (could acess the Wii Settings menu);
- Put the Mario Galaxy RegionFrii + BrickBlocker on the wii and played.
