well first off not to flame but you should do a search before you make a new thread on a topic that has been discussed a whole bunch already. But to answer your question :

1. In theory it is possible.
2. There would have to be code written inorder to be able to pull in the data on the fly
3. There hasn't been any code of the sort written as far as i've seen.
4. There's also an issue with power.
5. kinda makes it less portable don't it?

I know i wouldn't mind carryign a small hdd around in my back pack. but still.. heat issues you know. :)

Lol, sorry guys im a noob here, i was just wondering where the thred of the actual psp hdd was, id like to monitor the development and progress on it as i think it could open up a lot more possibilities for future hardware to be added.

Well there isn't a development thread. It's just been discussed before, i think if you're looking for a mass storage solution you should wait to see what Team Executer puts out..

USB-on-the-GO devices like they make them for digital cameras will work.
Obviously this is more like taking a laptop with you all the time since you'd still need a reasonably big memory card to copy the content to.
Direct launching from anything but MS or UMD is (at this time) not possible. WiFi could be another way to launch stuff but we'd need a custom, WiFi enabled piece of hardware.

Best option, as pointed out, is waiting for the MassStorage-to-MS converter in production by Team Executer or buying a huge MS. They might get cheaper now...
