It's no big expense IF it works, bearing in mind this is V3 and they never got it right on the first 2 revisions. There is a section on this forum that is testament to the hundreds of beta testers (V1 & 2) who wouldn't begrudge the money if it was a great product (which the first 2 were NOT)

The 360 is the (Console) home of FPS and for those that cut their teeth on a PC then there is no substitute for a mouse and a keyboard.

They "promised" no deadzone in their previous version, and their recent video showed indisputable evidence that their "smoothness" and "sensitivity" claims are lies as well.
Just as I expected, they're charging the usual $90 for their latest prototype.

I bought the XFPS Pro, and was very disappointed. Everyone was. This company has now released their 3rd "improved" version of this thing, all roughly within one year. No offers of upgrades to the suckers like me that bought previous versions, no support of any kind.

F**k these guys and their shotty products. These guys have no integrity, and have already betrayed gamers with TWO products that didn't meet expectations. Even if this new one is "perfect" (which I highly doubt), don't give these assholes any more money! They've already played us twice, why let them a third time?

Some other company has got to be in the process of designing a mouse/keyboard solution that doesn't blow, I'd wait for that to happen. But of course I'm still curious how that new one works, I'll be keeping an eye on forums to see how the sniper pans out.

Okay I just watched the video from XCM's website, and the new sniper definitely still sucks. The guys playing Crackdown, and trying to use a gun with zoom on to prove that the sniper's legit. For 3/4 of the video the camera's zoomed in on the screen, and everything seems OK, the guy playing still seems to be having trouble precision-aiming, but things seem alright.

Then the camera zooms back, showing the mouse movement of the user and the computer screen. Here it is obvious that there is still a deadzone, still lag, and sensitivity issues. Check out video here:

Also very interesting they test the sniper with Crackdown, a game that's a year old, when most consumers I'd imagine would like to see proof with a more relevant game like Halo 3 or Gears.

My first impression after the video: Save your money, this thing still sucks.

Get a life ... all the systems have their great points and their bad points. Give the PS3 time and they too will have games that everybody will want. It's unfortunate it is taking too long. The 360 also has it's share of problems ... but so did the microwave I bought.

the 360 rate has a very high failure rate that is unacceptable. i had to trade my first xbox the first week and just go to the xbox forums and you can see its a major problem. plus every accesory for the 360 is fucking expensive and not right. the only good thing about the 360 is the games and live, but i have to pay for live.wtf

I want one bad, but I don't want it if it has deadzone or lag. I used to use the SmartJoy FRAG for the XBOX, and that worked AWESOME. If this device doesn't perform to those standards, it's not worth the $95.

With all the problems of the last two versions, the manufacturer should be sending these out to reviewers for free.

On that note, I'd be happy to review it. :)

Does anyone know if the makers of the SJF are still an active company? I hope so maybe they can make a product that lives up to last gens achievements.
