Medievil Resurrection Help

Hi, I've been playing Medievil and I really enjoy it, there's just one problem, I am on the cemertery hill level and I don't know what to do, I smashed the bookcase and found the hidden room, but I don't know how to open the gates with those monsters inside, it is also mentioned about the pumpkin tree's but I have no idea what to do, anyone who has finished this level, please help me!

Behind the bookshelf is a switch, it opens the door next to it, you have to take your club to the room with the flame in the middle and light your club on fire and take it to the room you unlocked and light the statue in the middle and all the doors will open.

.. After I went to GameFAQs and found out Medievil Resurrection was a remake of the original then stole the guide :D
