Gamecube Freezing Problem??

Hi!
I recently bought my gamecube... and now Im starting to have one specific problem.... the problem is the following :

I can play almost any game ( on disc ) withouth any problem.. I played zelda WW,mario kart, Monkey balls 1-2 etc.. and eveyrthing is flawless.. but as soon as I put in Mario Sunshine the gamecube freeze after a random time of gameplay... I checked my disk there's no apparent scratch of some sort. Today i'll probably go and exchange my copy of sunshine.. but I was wondering if any of you guys actually experienced same kind of ptoblem??

I didn't know it was possible for a console to freeze up on a original disk! ;)

Strange, this was not supposed to happen, try contacting nintendo about that, since the disc games shouldn't freeze at all.
