Yes, but if the tool you get is **** then you would probably have to open it.

You need the tools to hold down 3 sensors so that the TOC doesn't refresh when you close the lid.
On mine the last sensor (near the top left hinge) wasn't being covered by the tool once the lid went down so I had to open my console and use duct tape to hold down the sensor.
