I recently heard of HD loader and was wondering if it needs any else to work, I heard that you may need a flip top but have also heard that you only need the official disc itself

HDLoader retail doesn't need the console modding. Just pop it in and away you go. It's not as good as the other versions around. They play more games and used to be updated more often. But you need the console modding or be able to boot via an exploit method.

I searched for them and found out that to use the exploit you need a slide card, flip top, or mod chip. Is there anyway to do this without using any of these devices.

I suggest reading other topics too, like ->this<- (http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=80996)
Or these sites:
http://sksapps.info/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=71
http://www.console-exploits.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=50
http://psx-scene.com/forums/playstation-forums/

You get about all info there.

I've checked those along with many other guides but can't get the exploit to work using gameshark as the PSX game will load normally (tried using FF7, 9 and syphon filter 2 disc 1), does anyone know any special methods that I can try.

-Add correct game's title.db with titleman program.
-Make sure the memory card folder is BxDATA-SYSTEM, x is A=ntsc, E=pal for psx game. ex. BEDATA-SYSTEM.

But u need to be more specific when telling ur problems :)

Sorry about my last post, I was in a hurry. I found out that I made the title.db wrong before but I've made sure the root and Title.db were right this time and when I transfer the file whether or not the real Your System Configuration was deleted it wouldn't overwrite it. I think that the file may need to be unpacked as one of the mods mentioned that Gameshark saves unpack but when I use the unzip option it actually zips the file instead.

BTW, I'm using Gameshark Broadband enabled.
